Utilizing a home security system is the best way to deter porch pirates and ensure you get promptly notified of suspicious activity outside your door through an alert app on your smartphone.  

A video doorbell camera will help you keep a watchful eye on all of your deliverables from wherever you are. You can also utilize smart locks to unlock your door remotely when you have trusted individuals dropping off your packages inside.
