Step 1: Authenticate Your Visitor

Know when your package has arrived at your house when your delivery driver rings your video doorbell camera. After ringing your doorbell, you will be sent a real-time notification on your smartphone.

Simply open your Alarm.com mobile app to view a live-streaming video feed of who is at your front door. Tap the microphone icon to interact with your visitor and initiate a two-way audio conversation.

Step 2: Guide Your Delivery

Once you’ve verified your visitor, share with them instructions on how you would like them to deliver your package. For smaller packages, you could ask the delivery driver to place your package inside behind the front door and for them to close the door afterwards.

To do this, you would stay on the same screen in your Alarm.com mobile app and select the unlock icon. This smart action will remotely unlock your door and can also be set up to disarm your security system.

You can even request your delivery driver to leave larger packages inside your garage by remotely opening and closing your garage door

Step 3: Lock Your Door

After your package is successfully placed inside and the delivery driver closes the front door, don’t forget to lock up your home. Tap the lock icon in your app to secure your front door. Ensure your home is professionally  monitored and protected by tapping the rearming icon turning on your security system.
