We recently moved back to the central Virginia area and our homeowners' insurance company required us to have an actively monitored home security system.  The home already had a security system that was previously monitored by a Midlothian, VA based company.  We requested quotes from that Midlothian based company, one Powhatan based company and Johns Brothers.  Johns Brothers was clearly superior to the other two companies in their customer service, expertise and pricing.  What made Johns Brothers stand out was their home security expertise, outstanding communication and pricing.  Diane Dodson served as our customer service consultant and was outstanding from the initial sales call all the way through the installation and follow-up.  Diane has extensive expertise in home security, was super clear in her communications and a great consultant as to what was (what was not) necessary based on our needs and our home.  She was not pushy nor did she try to up-sell us into buying products or services that we didn't need or want.  She followed-up promptly on open questions/items and was always easy to communicate with and easy to get in touch with.  Our installation was substantially completed by Grey with one technical assist from Trevor.  Both gentleman were very personable and we (and our two pups) felt safe with them in the house installing new security pads and syncing all devices into the system/platform.  Johns Brothers leverages the Alarm.com platform that has a super easy interface from an application on your phone. Diane Dodson, Security Consultant, with Johns Brothers Security did an excellent job of overseeing the upgrading of our home's security system to allow for cellular communication with the monitoring station which allowed us to disconnect our landline telephone.  Ms. Dodson was very responsive, always arrived on time for appointments, and was very professional, yet very friendly and easy to work with.  She did not try to sell us unneeded devices or services but handled our project in a very cost-effective manner and used, to the extent possible, the current devices we already had in place.  She also provided excellent follow-up with us after our upgraded system was complete.  The technicians, Clifton and Grey, did a great job of installing the new devices that were needed, and thoroughly tested all the devices in our system, the new ones as well as the ones in our old system that could still be used.  They did not leave our house until they were certain that the system was working properly and that we knew how to use it.  Ms. Dodson stayed in close contact with Clifton and Grey during the installation process to make sure it went smoothly and was seamless. We have used this Jones Brother's service for many year for indoor fire and alarm service.  We decided we wanted to move away from battery camerascand go to hardwire. We were upgraded today.  Diane was our consultant and helped us in our decision making for what we wanted and where to put our cameras. I recently had the pleasure of upgrading my old security system with Johns Brothers in Midlothian, VA.  Johns Bros was my monitoring company so when I starting to have issues with my old system, I reached out to them and had a very productive interaction with Curtis, one of their Sales Consultants.  Curtis was informative, responsive to my many questions and provided a very fair upgrade quote which I accepted. The next phase was install day and I had the most fantastic experience imaginable when Kevin arrived to do the work.  Kevin is one of the most experienced and capable technical people I've had then pleasure to experience.  And his customer relations skills are every bit as strong as his technical skills! Finally, I will call out Angelo, who was responsible for assessing my issues and directing me to Curtis for the ultimate resolution. Had such a great experience getting my new security system set up.  Diane was great with communicating my options, the process for set up, and following up along the way to ensure I had everything I needed before and after the install.  Clifton & Grey were so pleasant, friendly, and professional - they made quick work of my install, fully walked me through operating my new system, and showed the mechanics so that I could do some minor maintenance (i.e. censor batteries) on my own.  They took their time with me to ensure all of my questions were answered - a great experience.  Thank you!
